In Romania there are several customs that mark the return of spring:
Martisor (March 1st) is a typical Romanian celebration that marks the return of spring. On this day women receive "martisoare" from their acquaintances as signs of gratitude. People think that these "martisoare" bring happiness and luck. Traditionally they are made of a red and white bow - red means winter and white spring - and to the bow there are added other symbols of luck, like four-leaf clover, horseshoe, chimney sweeper, harts.
Women's Day (March 8th): On this day women, not only mothers, are celebrated by husbands, children, friends or family. On this occasion one can give flowers, presents, cards. Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins.

Touristic information
The capital of the Roman empire, of the Papal state and of Italy, Rome is the very “eternal cityâ€. It is one of the most elegant capitals where the levels of history and the sheer beauty in excess might turn out to be overwhelming even for an inexperienced visitor.
Rome is a city which should be discovered by walking, where every corner offers a new treasure and an unforgettable panorama. Roman columns rise up to the sky alongside medieval basilicas. The sound of the water overflowing from fountains fills the air in front of the Renaissance palaces and the exultant Romans are cramming into the colorful little squares. Take a breath of the Cesars’ air in the Roman forum, take a walk in the threatening Coloseum, marvel at the splendors of the Vatican Palace and then you will undoubtedly wonder whether this is the capital of a modern and industrial nation or whether you have just stepped back in time, into the pages of a history book!
